A light and elegant St-Joseph made with 100% Syrah from granitic hillsides. Excellent for weekend drinking and great for medium to long term cellaring. For more information, visit Domaine Pichon.

St-Joseph is a great alternative for those who are Northern Rhone Syrah fans but want to pay less than Hermitage or Cote Rotie.  You still get great syrah aromatics ( licorice, anis and blueberry) and minerality with a fraction of the price.

Pretty but shy nose. A violet angle with a meaty, dark olive and smoke side. With time in the glass, more animal nuances ( game fur develops) Herbal notes bringing to mind eucalyptus gel as well. On the mouth, full body, polished and  silky with a good volume and lenght in the mouth. Saline and mineral taste with crisp tannins. Dark fruit with earthy flavors give away to more meat nuances ( mushrooms-beef dry stock) resulting in a mesmerizing finale that  bring to mind black bean chinese sauce. Drinking well know but will keep for another 3 years.

Available in private import by case of 6 ( around $30) by Trialto/Liquid Art in the province of Quebec.
